Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roi Asher (ranked 4040 p4p, 200 weight class) and Conor Rogers (ranked 7911 p4p, 307 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roi Asher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor Rogers! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers lands a head kick. Asher smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Rogers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Asher doesn't seem bothered though. Asher closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Asher lands in his opponent's guard. Asher throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rogers works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rogers is trying to hold Asher in close to prevent damage but Asher has managed to pass into half guard.
Asher prevents Rogers from improving his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Asher looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Rogers is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asher prevents Rogers from standing back up.
Asher keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Asher jumps into side control! Rogers is looking for a sweep. Rogers is being controlled here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Asher lands an elbow. Rogers is being controlled here. Rogers tries to buck Asher off but Asher is having none of it. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Asher stands up. Rogers stuffs the takedown. Asher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rogers's waist but Rogers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Asher off to one side. Rogers looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Rogers leaves Asher with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roi Asher. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogers lands a two punch combo.

Asher clinches up against the cage. Rogers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rogers just misses with a punch to the body.
Horrible takedown attempt by Asher or perhaps it was just good defense by Rogers, which made it look bad. Rogers tries to bum rush Asher with a series of wild strikes but Asher uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Asher appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Rogers defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Asher. Rogers lands a nice shot to the body.
Rogers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Asher doesn't seem bothered though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rogers looks winded! Rogers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Asher moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Asher changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Asher has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rogers misses with a wild combination.

Asher moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Asher fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A little jabbing left from Rogers on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Asher is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rogers. Rogers cracks the inside of Asher's front leg. Horrible takedown attempt by Asher or perhaps it was just good defense by Rogers, which made it look bad. Asher avoids the head kick by Rogers.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Roi Asher! Roi Asher was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
