Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rishi Darshan (ranked 7467 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jens Petasen (ranked 3130 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rishi Darshan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jens Petasen!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darshan instigates a clinch.

Darshan pulls Petasen into guard.
Darshan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Darshan is looking to stand up but Petasen isn't so interested in that idea.
Petasen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Petasen wants to stand but Darshan is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Darshan is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Stark Slugger Society that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Petasen stops Darshan from standing up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Petasen has a couple of punches blocked by Darshan.
Petasen misses with some punches.
Petasen misses with a short punch on the inside.

Darshan has picked Petasen up - he's going for a ride! Darshan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Darshan works his way into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Darshan wants to control but Petasen is keeping him busy.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Petasen wants to control but Darshan postures up.
Petasen is not content to let Darshan control the position.
Petasen is letting Darshan control him for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Darshan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Petasen keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Petasen ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Petasen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Darshan.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Petasen lands a right hand that snaps the head of Darshan backwards.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Darshan missing with knees to the body.
Darshan tries to pull guard but Petasen forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Petasen cracks Darshan with a nice body shot.
Darshan is trying to drag Petasen to the mat but Petasen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Petasen lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Darshan tries to land a knee to the head but Petasen blocks with his arms.
Petasen lands with a light punch inside.
Darshan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Petasen walks away with a smile on his face. Darshan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rishi Darshan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Petasen connects with a single shot there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Darshan tries to circle away but Petasen has him pinned against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jens Petasen dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Petasen drops Darshan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Darshan looks back up at him and smiles so Petasen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Darshan is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!


It looks like Rishi Darshan has been cut.
Darshan swats away the attempt to clinch by Petasen.
Oh Darshan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Petasen clinches up against the cage.
Darshan seems to have got his legs back now.
Darshan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Petasen prevents it.
Darshan can't get the takedown.
Petasen blocks a body shot from Darshan.
Petasen pushes Darshan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Petasen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Darshan's elbow.
Darshan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Petasen swings wildly with an uppercut but Darshan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Petasen scores with a nice hook to the head.
Petasen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Darshan backwards.
Petasen pushes Darshan back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Darshan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rishi Darshan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Petasen drops Darshan onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Darshan is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Darshan blocks an uppercut.
Darshan prevents a body shot from Petasen.
Jens Petasen seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Petasen presses Darshan against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Petasen drops Darshan onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Darshan is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Petasen creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Darshan with a big uppercut! Darshan tries to clinch up but Petasen pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Darshan to the mat! Darshan covers up and Petasen unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jens Petasen!
