Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lennox Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Even Steven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karelin is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Lennox Karelin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steven closes the distance and clinches up with Karelin, looking for a takedown. Steven pushes Karelin against the cage but Karelin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Karelin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Steven throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Karelin.
Lennox Karelin's cut is getting worse.
Steven scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Steven.
A head kick from Steven lands but Karelin takes it in his stride.
Steven throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Karelin's waist but Karelin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steven off to one side.
Karelin throws a lazy right hand but Steven sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Steven shoots in but no luck this time.
Lennox Karelin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Even Steven.
Steven ducks under a wild hook from Karelin.
Karelin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Steven throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Karelin's waist but Karelin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steven off to one side.

The fighters circling - Karelin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Steven uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Karelin.

and Steven counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Lennox Karelin's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Karelin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Steven manages to work his way to half guard, despite Karelin's best efforts.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karelin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Karelin stands up out of the half guard.
Karelin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Steven counters with a one-two to the body.

Karelin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Steven is pressing down on Karelin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Karelin wants to stand but Steven is controlling his posture from full guard.
Karelin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steven on the ground.

Steven is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Karelin rolls with it to try and escape but Steven cranks on the arm and Karelin is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
