Bisping kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is New York. Michael Bisping has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vilella throws a right hand that Bisping ducks under and follows up with a left that Bisping also avoids with ease.
Bisping shoots in looking for a takedown. Vilella tries to sprawl out of it but Bisping keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Vilella manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A head kick lands from Vilella that sends Bisping to the canvas. Bisping tries to scramble back to his feet but Vilella brings him back down into side control.

Vilella wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bisping, who protects the arm well.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Bisping has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vilella is working away from the top position though.

Vilella shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bisping as he jumps to the side.

Bisping doesn't manage to clinch there - Vilella circles away.
Vilella tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vilella throws a right hand that Bisping ducks under and follows up with a left that Bisping also avoids with ease.

Vilella moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Bisping changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vilella tries to avoid it but Bisping manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vilella to the ground. Vilella escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bisping sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vilella's guard.
Bisping is trying to control the action in half guard but Vilella is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Vilella has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bisping to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Vilella is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bisping pulls down on the head and he's put Vilella to sleep! This one is all over!
