Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerrold Potts (ranked 6016 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Drillon (ranked 9024 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Drillon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerrold Potts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Drillon! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Potts misses. Despite the aggression on Drillon's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Drillon looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Drillon misses with a double jab.
Drillon lands a two punch combo.
Potts darts in looking for a takedown but Drillon gets double underhooks and turns Potts into the cage. Drillon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Drillon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Potts napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potts struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drillon throwing shots but missing, from side control. Drillon misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Potts manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Potts blocking the ground and pound attempt from Drillon. Potts could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potts is holding on to half guard well. Potts has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Potts is staying active underneath Drillon, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Potts is trying is best to control the position here. Potts looking for submissions off his back. Potts has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Drillon is working away from the top position though. Potts keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Potts might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Drillon throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Potts misses with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potts throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Drillon counters with a left and a right that stings Potts. Potts tries to close the distance and clinch but Drillon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Drillon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Potts. Drillon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Potts throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Potts throws a head kick that misses and Drillon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Potts is looking to land body kicks. Potts dodges the punch combination from Drillon.
A quick step to the side and Potts tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drillon swinging wildly here.
Potts has a takedown stuffed. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Potts misses with a hook to the body
and Drillon counters with a straight right hand. Drillon clinches with his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Drillon dominated that round. That's time! Potts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Potts. Drillon scores with a body shot.
Potts throws a series of strikes that have Drillon backpedaling.
A head kick by Potts misses and Drillon counters with a two punch combo. Frank Drillon seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potts tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drillon swats him away and circles back towards the center. As Potts backs off Drillon throws a huge counter combo but Potts manages to avoid it all. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Drillon explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Potts looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Drillon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Drillon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Potts back to the cage. Drillon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Potts misses with an attempted mid kick.
Potts throws a nice looking combination but Drillon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Drillon dodges the punch combination from Potts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Potts showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Drillon.
Potts moves in looking to clinch but Drillon pushes him off. Drillon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Drillon looks to land a combination but Potts avoids it well. Drillon gets caught napping as Potts dives in and scores a takedown. Drillon manages to retain guard. Drillon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drillon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Potts is one step ahead there. Drillon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Potts is controlling him. Drillon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Potts. Drillon wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Potts is now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Potts decides to stand and escape the position. We've been informed that Drillon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Drillon has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Potts shoots in and gets a takedown into Drillon's guard. Drillon pushes Potts off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A head kick misses from Potts. Potts throws a series of punches but Drillon moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Frank Drillon will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Potts shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Potts showed some decent athleticism there. Drillon is trying to escape back to his feet but Potts uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Jerrold Potts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Check out the look on Potts's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Potts works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drillon struggling a bit here. A lull in the action here as Potts stalls from top position. Drillon is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Potts looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Drillon is avoiding damage well.
Drillon is not content to let Potts control the position. Potts tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potts lands an elbow. Potts looks up at the clock and then as Drillon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Potts smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Potts in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Check out the look on Potts's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Potts scoring with punches from side control. Drillon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Potts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Potts stalls from top position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Drillon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Potts drives through with a takedown into Drillon's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Potts trying to control but Drillon is working from the bottom. Potts decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Drillon, up you get! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Potts lands a nice leg kick that just misses Drillon's sensitive parts.
And that's the end of the fight! Jerrold Potts showed his dominance in that final round. I think Drillon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
