Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Rawse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romero has chosen MVP as his entrance music. Rocky Romero will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawse fails with a takedown attempt.
Rick Rawse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Romero drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rawse trying to strike off his back.
Rawse looking to control.
Rawse controlling Romero's posture.
Rawse has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rawse is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Romero tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Romero is trying to control but can't.
Rawse is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rawse is landing with some decent strikes but Romero is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
BOOM! Rawse connects with a massive shot to the dome!
It looks like Rocky Romero has been cut.
Romero wants to hold on but Rawse pushes him away.
Rawse moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Romero has worked his arm free - good work by Romero!
Rawse controlling from side mount.
Romero tries to bench press Rawse off him but Rawse keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here.
Rawse creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That has opened up Rocky Romero's cut even more.
Rawse grinds an elbow into Romero's temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Romero can't do much from the bottom here.
Romero takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Rawse cracks Romero with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Romero seems a little lost for a moment, as Rawse dominates the positioning.
Rawse cracks Romero with a big right hand but Romero just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Romero is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rawse connects with a decent elbow.
The cut above Rocky Romero's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Romero looks gassed!
Rawse looks up at the clock and then as Romero takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rawse smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Rocky Romero's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rocky Romero's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rick Rawse!
