Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, George Mercenarul!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean slips under a jab from Mercenarul.
Bean throws a big counter combination but Mercenarul scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Decent striking displayed by Bean there.


It looks like George Mercenarul has been cut.
Mercenarul misses with a lunging right hand
and Bean counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bean scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Bean lands with a hook. Mercenarul tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mercenarul moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like James Bean has been cut.
Mercenarul throws a hook but Bean avoids it easily.
Mercenarul misses with a right hand
and Bean counters with a thumping low kick.
Bean uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mercenarul.
Bean lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mercenarul takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bean moves out of range as Mercenarul strikes.
Bean throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bean lands a really nice looking cross but Mercenarul seems unphased.
Bean lands a lovely overhand right.

Bean drives through and clinches with Mercenarul against the cage.
Mercenarul wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bean misses with a punch on the inside.
Bean lands on the inside with an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bean tries to work over Mercenarul's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Mercenarul has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Mercenarul wants to break free but Bean has control.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bean creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Bean lands a body punch in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bean.

Bean pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bean fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Mercenarul takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mercenarul misses with a looping right.
Mercenarul throws a lazy uppercut
and Mercenarul takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mercenarul throws a poor cross that misses
and Bean counters with a nice uppercut.
Mercenarul misses with a straight left.
An attempted straight right counter from Bean misses the target.
Mercenarul throws a poor cross that misses
and Bean counters with a stiff right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bean slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bean has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Mercenarul tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bean scores with a leg kick.
Bean lands with a nice combination. Mercenarul backs away looking to recover.


Mercenarul is rocked!
Bean fakes the body blow, causing Mercenarul to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Mercenarul goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
