Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Vang (ranked 24251 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Chase (ranked 8096 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sydney Vang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Chase!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chase shoots in and bounces Vang off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Vang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Vang thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Vang has his hands on Chase's head, controlling the position.
Vang keeping moving, preventing Chase from controlling successfully.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vang controlling the position well.
Chase tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vang knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Vang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chase passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Vang!
Vang wants to hold on but Chase pushes him away.

Chase can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vang is looking to escape.

Vang is looking to improve his position but Chase isn't that keen on the idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Chase shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vang's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Chase tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chase has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vang can't do much from the bottom here.

Chase misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

David Chase showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Chase stalling away here and it's allowed Vang to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Chase throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vang works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Vang will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vang can't keep his opponent in guard - Chase advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vang is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Vang won't allow Chase to pass to mount.

Chase wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vang keeps working.

Vang cracks a nice hook into Chase's ribs.

Vang drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Chase wants to stand but Vang is controlling the position.
Vang distracts Chase with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Vang postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vang's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Vang connects with a couple of short punches.
Vang tries to free his leg and advance position but Chase is retaining full guard.

Vang is in close to Chase's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Vang is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chase is on top in guard.

David Chase has got the better of the ground game so far.

I would just about give that final round to David Chase.
I've got Chase winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
