Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Deal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacinto Ramos! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Deal just misses with a punch to the body.
Ramos throws a leg kick which misses Deal's front leg but catches the back leg as Deal tries to avoid it. Good work by Ramos as he checks the leg kick. Ramos moves away from the strike by Deal. Deal tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. We've been informed that Ramos has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Chris Deal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Deal throws out the jab. Deal uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ramos. Deal throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ramos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Deal connects with a high kick. Deal connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Ramos gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ramos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. This has been an exciting period of action! Ramos fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Deal has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Deal misses with a left hand and Ramos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Deal scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Deal lands a front kick to the face, that drops Ramos to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!

It looks like Jacinto Ramos has been cut. Deal throws out a loose jab but Ramos uses good head movement to avoid it. Ramos is still on wobbly legs! Can Deal finish him? Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Deal engages and cracks Ramos with a massive lead left hook - Ramos tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Deal is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Deal! Chris Deal decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. In defeat, Jacinto Ramos stepped up to the mic, saying 'Big heart, determined '.
