Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rickey Cobb (ranked 7177 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Samson (ranked 6093 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickey Cobb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Samson! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cobb closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cobb is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Cobb is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Cobb is trying to control the action in half guard but Samson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobb wants to pass the guard but Samson is defending well. Cobb could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Cobb with the ground and pound but Samson uses the opportunity to regain guard. Cobb might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cobb trying to control the position from guard on top but Samson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Cobb pushing down on Samson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Cobb is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Samson wants to get back to his feet. Cobb is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Samson clinches up with Cobb and pushes him back against the cage. Cobb lands a nice elbow. Samson holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Samson has clasped his hands together around Cobb's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Samson taking a breather here. Cobb tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cobb manages to work his way to half guard, despite Samson's best efforts. Cobb is trying to maintain the position but Samson is very close to passing his half guard. Samson controlling the pace.

Cobb is trying desperately to improve position. Cobb wants to hold on but Samson pushes him away. Cobb is looking to improve his position but Samson isn't that keen on the idea. Samson landing strikes, looking to finish! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cobb wants to control but Samson is having none of it. BOOM! Samson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cobb is looking to regain half guard here but Samson keeps moving and retains side control. Cobb manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Cobb is trying to get back to full guard. Samson wants to stand but Cobb has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The fighters are battling for position here. Cobb manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cobb has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Samson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cobb looking to hit a scissor sweep but Samson is one step ahead there. Cobb trying to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Samson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cobb was covering up waiting for the punch and Samson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Samson stays in close to Cobb's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cobb is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cobb looking to hit a scissor sweep but Samson is one step ahead there. Samson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Samson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Samson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cobb does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cobb wants to control but Samson is keeping busy.

Samuel Samson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Cobb wants to clinch up but Samson keeps it at a distance. Cobb throws a lazy right hand but Samson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Samson tries to counter with a clinch but Cobb shakes him off and moves away. Samuel Samson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Samson misses with a head kick.
As Samson tries to get set, Cobb tries to push him back and clinch up but Samson manages to avoid the attempt. Samson drives through with a takedown into Cobb's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Cobb keeping full guard, as Samson tries to pass. Cobb wants to sweep but no luck. Samson postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cobb keeping moving, preventing Samson from controlling successfully. Cobb is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cobb tries to stand but Samson is controlling from the bottom. Samson is trying to keep Cobb in close.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cobb's half guard. Cobb wants to get back to full guard. Samson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Cobb keeps control of the position for the meantime. Cobb slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Cobb has Samson pulled in close to control his posture.

Samson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Samson advances position into side control! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Samson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cobb has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that's the end of the fight! Samuel Samson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Samson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
