Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximus The Jar Of (ranked 5866 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson The Spider (ranked 4142 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Jar Of wants to clinch.
The Spider is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Good exchange - The Spider coming out on top.

The Spider has closed the distance and engaged The Jar Of in a clinch.
The Spider misses with a body punch.
The Spider throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The Jar Of blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The Spider tried to land a shot to the body but connects with The Jar Of's elbow.
The Spider tries to work over The Jar Of's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Spider is working The Jar Of over against the cage.
The Jar Of drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Spider pulls his leg out and moves away.
Maximus The Jar Of seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The Spider has The Jar Of up against the cage in a clinch.
The Spider pushes The Jar Of back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

The Spider lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

The Jar Of has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

The Spider lands on the inside with an uppercut.

The Spider pushes The Jar Of back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The Spider lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of The Jar Of backwards.

The Spider throws a blind hook that connects with the side of The Jar Ofs head.

The Spider fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The Spider looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The Spider tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The Spider has a couple of punches blocked by The Jar Of.
Come on The Jar Of - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The Jar Of drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Spider pulls his leg out and moves away.
The Spider clobbers The Jar Of with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The Jar Of is rocked!

The Jar Of tries to keep at a distance but The Spider has taken the fight into the clinch.
The Spider lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of The Jar Of backwards.

The Spider working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Oh The Jar Of is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The Spider misses with some punches.
The Jar Of seems to have got his legs back now.
The Spider is pressed up against the cage. The Jar Of has hold of a leg and is looking to drag The Spider down to the mat. The Spider avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maximus The Jar Of. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oooooh!!! The Spider has knocked The Jar Of down with a huge combo! The Spider steps away and waves a wobbly The Jar Of back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The Jar Of walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles The Jar Of limp body while The Spider jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
