Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kai Kha (ranked 1845 p4p, 248 weight class) and Lefteris Papaioanou (ranked 1333 p4p, 185 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Papaioanou drops his hands momentarily and Kha takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Papaioanou does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kha looks to land a left hand but Papaioanou moved out of range nicely.

Kha will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Papaioanou up against the cage.

and Papaioanou counters with a series of strikes. Kha will be more careful next time no doubt.
Papaioanou goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Papaioanou throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kha gets caught napping as Papaioanou dives in and scores a takedown. Kha manages to retain guard.
Kha lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Papaioanou is looking to stand back up but Kha counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Papaioanou.

Kha is trying to control. Papaioanou wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Papaioanou moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Papaioanou is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kha is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Papaioanou wants to get back to his feet but Kha is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Lefteris Papaioanou is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Papaioanou's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kha connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Papaioanou scrambles back to his feet.
Kha with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Papaioanou to score with a decent uppercut.
Papaioanou misses with a takedown attempt - Kha sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kai Kha.
I think Papaioanou has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Lefteris Papaioanou rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
