Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ueda Umanouke (ranked 401 p4p, 47 weight class) and Francisco dAnconia (ranked 442 p4p, 50 weight class). Umanouke comes to the cage accompanied by Kenji Kawai's Making of a Cyborg. dAnconia has chosen Revolution as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umanouke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but dAnconia was well out of range. Poor timing from Umanouke.
Umanouke scores with the left hand. dAnconia knows he should have avoided that one.

The fight stays on the outside here - Umanouke looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Umanouke looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks dAnconia with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Umanouke covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Umanouke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've been hearing good reports from Umanouke's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Umanouke is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. dAnconia knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften dAnconia for a finish.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Umanouke is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. dAnconia defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
dAnconia rolls, trying to escape but Umanouke keeps control of the position.
Umanouke is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Umanouke gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Umanouke gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Umanouke apologises and we restart here on the feet.
dAnconia misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Umanouke.

Umanouke shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Umanouke showed some decent athleticism there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Umanouke uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before dAnconia has time to react.

Francisco dAnconia seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Francisco dAnconia decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated Ueda Umanouke had this to say: 'Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You can't do anything without risking something. I will be back to avenge my honor.'.
