The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgoo tries to clinch up

and Glenn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Glenn slows the pace down in half guard.
Glenn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mcgoo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Glenn scores with a couple of nice shots.
Glenn is thwarting Mcgoo's attempts to control the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Glenn connects with a nice short shot to Mcgoo's temple.

Glenn is pressed up against the cage. Mcgoo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Glenn down to the mat. Glenn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Mcgoo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Glenn throws a head punch that misses.
A frustrated look appears on Glenn's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mcgoo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Glenn.

Glenn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mcgoo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Glenn has managed to clinch.
Mcgoo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Mcgoo tries to pull guard but Glenn won't allow it.
Parker Glenn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doodoo Mcgoo.
Glenn is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mcgoo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Mcgoo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Glenn walks away with a smile on his face. Mcgoo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Glenn counters with a good, hard body kick but Mcgoo shrugs it off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Glenn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mcgoo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Mcgoo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Glenn as he avoids it easily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Glenn leaves Mcgoo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It looked like Glenn was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Glenn has managed to clinch.
Mcgoo is trying to pull guard but Glenn has him pressed against the cage.
Glenn is pushing Mcgoo up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Mcgoo throws a fast counter high kick but Glenn manages to duck under it in time.

Glenn went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Glenn has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Mcgoo tightens his grip and picks Glenn up, before dumping him to the ground. Glenn manages to land in guard.

Despite the aggression on Mcgoo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Glenn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mcgoo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Horrible takedown attempt by Mcgoo or perhaps it was just good defense by Glenn, which made it look bad.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcgoo has Glenn pulled in close to control his posture.

Mcgoo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Glenn defends it easily.

Doodoo Mcgoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mcgoo gets tackled into the cage by Glenn. Glenn maintains the clinch.

Glenn has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mcgoo clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Mcgoo is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Glenn is staying active.
Doodoo Mcgoo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Parker Glenn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
