Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Dilla (ranked 23354 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Cristico (ranked 23253 p4p, 0 weight class). Dilla comes to the cage accompanied by Whatever. Cristico is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It's Hot ft. Pharrell Williams. Jay Dilla has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Dilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Matthew Cristico!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilla tries to clinch there but Cristico circles away.
Cristico shoots and misses
and Dilla counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Cristico as Dilla shoots in.
Dilla could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dilla misses with a takedown attempt - Cristico sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cristico gets a clinch.
Cristico turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cristico manages to end up in side control.
You can see the frustration on Dilla's face as Cristico controls the position.
Dilla tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cristico wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Cristico tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dilla's legs.
Cristico content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Cristico scores with a couple of short elbows.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Cristico lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Dilla down.
Cristico really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dilla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cristico is putting a hurting on Dilla here, landing some big shots from side control.
Dilla taking punishment in the form of punches.

Cristico thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dilla tries to buck Cristico off but Cristico is having none of it.
Dilla wants to control but Cristico postures up.

Dilla is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cristico is controlling him well.
Dilla can't do much from the bottom here.
Cristico is looking to take a break and control but Dilla is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cristico tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cristico has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dilla is trying to control Cristico's posture but Cristico avoids it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dilla gets back to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cristico lands a nice short elbow.
Dilla wants to control but Cristico is keeping busy.
Dilla tries to roll over but Cristico keeps him under control.
Cristico lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Cristico lands strikes from half guard.

Dilla is breathing heavily.
Dilla is looking to escape.
Cristico seems to be working for a kimura but Dilla defends the submission attempt.
Dilla is looking to control Cristico's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dilla avoid being mounted?
Cristico moves into full mount! Dilla won't be happy about that!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cristico tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dilla is in a horrible position here. Cristico smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Cristico loads up with a big shot that hurts Dilla! He's pulled Cristico in close but Cristico has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Dilla survive? More strikes from Cristico and Dilla is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Matthew Cristico!
