Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Hammarskjold (ranked 3369 p4p, 108 weight class) and Andrew Wood (ranked 7482 p4p, 77 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrew Wood! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammarskjold takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Alfred Hammarskjold has been cut. Hammarskjold fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wood will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hammarskjold changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Hammarskjold shoots in and gets a takedown into Wood's guard. Wood has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hammarskjold off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Hammarskjold swings and misses with a shot to the body and Wood cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. This has been an exciting period of action! Wood misses with a low kick as Hammarskjold jumps back. Wood throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hammarskjold changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Wood with a body punch. A glancing blow. Wood throws a low kick, looking for Hammarskjold's leg but Hammarskjold calmly moves out of range. Hammarskjold changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. A nice leg kick lands there from Wood. Wood misses with a hook. Hammarskjold ducked under it nicely. Hammarskjold slips a straight right by Wood. That's one minute gone in the round. Wood connects with a looping right hand.
Wood is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Wood lands a jab to the nose.
Alfred Hammarskjold's cut is getting worse. Wood throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hammarskjold on the side of the head. Hammarskjold has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hammarskjold there as he acknowledges the shot.
Alfred Hammarskjold's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Hammarskjold circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Wood. Hammarskjold falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Wood!
