Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Byyler (ranked 2965 p4p, 393 weight class) and Jay Uzo (ranked 2355 p4p, 323 weight class). Byyler comes to the cage accompanied by Gettomasa - Ykkösen bägei (feat. Justsesomali). The crowd seem to be enjoying Uzo's choice of entrance music: The Game. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hans Byyler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Uzo!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Uzo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Byyler sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Byyler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Uzo.
Byyler's jab looks to have found its range, popping Uzo under the eye.
Uzo lands a jab.
Uzo's coach down at School of Hard Knocks was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Uzo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Uzo throws a jab when Byyler was well out of range.
Byyler was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
An inside leg kick from Uzo misses.
Byyler connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Uzo momentarily.
Byyler ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Uzo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Byyler swings for the body but Uzo moves out of range.

Byyler shoots in looking for a takedown but Uzo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Byyler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

I was talking to Byyler's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Byyler's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Uzo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Byyler walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Oh Byyler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Uzo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Byyler checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Byyler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Byyler seems to have got his legs back now.
Uzo misses the jab.
Byyler looks for a takedown but Uzo sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Byyler. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Byyler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Uzo scores with a decent looking hook.

and Byyler makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Uzo loads up on a big right hand but Byyler slips the punch.
Byyler throws a nice looking combination but Uzo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Byyler scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Uzo doesn't seem bothered though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Byyler is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Uzo wobbles Byyler with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Uzo dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Byyler to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jay Uzo!
