Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Demetrius Tektas (ranked 1332 p4p, 161 weight class) and Phill Brooks (ranked 3965 p4p, 429 weight class). Tektas comes to the cage accompanied by Alexander The Great. Brooks comes into a darkened arena with his song building. This Fire Burns kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Phill Brooks struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Demetrius Tektas has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tektas scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Tektas with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Tektas has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Brooks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tektas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tektas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brooks defends it well. Tektas seems to be looking for submissions.

Tektas is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brooks is defending against the submission attempts here by Tektas.

Tektas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Brooks keeping moving, preventing Tektas from controlling successfully. Tektas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tektas seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Brooks is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
