Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soyster Nine (ranked 24654 p4p, 831 weight class) and David Brent (ranked 2802 p4p, 361 weight class). Brent is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Freelove Freeway. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Soyster Nine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Brent! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nine throws a poor cross that misses
and Brent counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Soyster Nine has been cut. Soyster Nine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nine moves into the clinch. Nine misses with a hook from the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Brent.

Nine tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brent wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Nine tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Brent presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nine wants to hold on but Brent pushes him away. Nine is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brent is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Nine is in all sorts of trouble here.

We've been hearing good reports from Nine's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Nine slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Brent passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Nine looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Brent tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nine knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Nine is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brent is thwarting Nine's attempts to control the position. Nine wants to improve his position but Brent is controlling well.
Nine keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nine wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but David Brent will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Soyster Nine's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Brent takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nine takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Brent ducks under a wild hook from Nine. Brent drops Nine with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nine looks back up at him and smiles so Brent waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Nine is rocked! Brent lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Nine head around and knocks him out cold! Brent hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Brent! After winning the bout, David Brent thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Soyster Nine was interviewed post fight and said 'What can I say, I was beaten by the better fighter today. See you all in two weeks. '.
