Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kuroda Atsushii (ranked 513 p4p, 56 weight class) and Michail Podolski (ranked 236 p4p, 27 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kuroda Atsushii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michail Podolski! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Podolski misses. That kick from Atsushii tenderised Podolski's leg. Podolski is trying to keep his angry face on. Atsushii misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Podolski.
Podolski scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Atsushii feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Podolskis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Atsushii uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Podolski.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A jab from Podolski misses. We've been told by Atsushii's head coaches at White Eagle that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Atsushii bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Podolski's head backwards. Podolski misses with a leg kick. Podolski connects with an inside leg kick. Atsushii slips a straight right by Podolski. Podolski tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Atsushii scores with a jab. Podolski acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Atsushii checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Atsushii throws a hook but Podolski avoids it easily. Podolski looks to throw the jab but Atsushii is out of range. Atsushii keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Podolski. Podolski wants to slow Atsushii down by chopping away at his legs. Podolski moves out of range of the body kick from Atsushii.
Atsushii sizes up Podolski with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Atsushii scores with a sloppy right hand. Podolski should have avoided that one. Atsushii has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Podolski finds it's way round the side to connect with Atsushii's head. Good standup being displayed there by Atsushii as he connects with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Podolski throws an overhand right that lands on Atsushii's shoulder, as Atsushii tries to avoid the shot. Podolski avoids the body shot from Atsushii.
Atsushii throws a leg kick and Atsushii takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Atsushii checks a leg kick nicely. Podolski lands with a hook. Atsushii tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Podolski throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Podolski takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Atsushii throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Good exchange - Podolski coming out on top. Podolski shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Atsushii misses with a wild body shot. Podolski jabbing away but nothing is landing. Atsushii bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A good leg kick by Atsushii. Atsushii gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Podolski defending well as Atsushii loads up on a big left hand. Podolski steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Atsushii. Atsushii tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. The ref watches Atsushii closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michail Podolski! Michail Podolski really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Aspire Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
