Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Lafeyette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Desrosiers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Lafeyette! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Desrosiers! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lafeyette has a takedown stuffed. Desrosiers misses with a head kick.
Lafeyette misses with a takedown attempt - Desrosiers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lafeyette has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Lafeyette. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lafeyette changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Desrosiers tries to avoid it but Lafeyette manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Desrosiers to the ground. Desrosiers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Desrosiers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lafeyette counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Desrosiers is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Desrosiers wants to control from the top but Lafeyette keeps moving. Lafeyette working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Desrosiers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Desrosiers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Desrosiers stopping the sweep attempt from Lafeyette. Lafeyette has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Desrosiers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lafeyette keeping moving, preventing Desrosiers from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lafeyette looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Desrosiers wants to get up but he can't break Lafeyette's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Desrosiers controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lafeyette keeping moving, preventing Desrosiers from controlling successfully. Lafeyette being controlled here, momentarily. Lafeyette manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Desrosiers manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lafeyette trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Lafeyette is fighting to break Desrosiers's control of his arms but Desrosiers is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Desrosiers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lafeyette stops Desrosiers from standing up. Lafeyette slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lafeyette is trying to get an arm triangle but Desrosiers is defending well. Lafeyette trying to control the position but Desrosiers is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Desrosiers is looking to regain half guard here but Lafeyette keeps moving and retains side control. Desrosiers is not content to let Lafeyette control the position. Desrosiers wants to control but Lafeyette postures up. Desrosiers pushes Lafeyette away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lafeyette gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Desrosiers is looking to regain half guard here but Lafeyette keeps moving and retains side control. Lafeyette wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Desrosiers, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lafeyette with a lazy takedown attempt and Desrosiers counters with a shoot takedown. Lafeyette fights it but they end up in guard. Desrosiers stands up from guard. Let's bang! Desrosiers misses with a takedown attempt and Lafeyette counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Desrosiers's guard now. Lafeyette looking to sit in guard and control but Desrosiers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Desrosiers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lafeyette is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Desrosiers wants to stand but Lafeyette is controlling his posture from full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lafeyette is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Desrosiers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lafeyette. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lafeyette lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Desrosiers! Lafeyette moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Desrosiers has worked his arm free - good work by Desrosiers!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Desrosiers struggling a bit here. An elbow from Lafeyette crashes against the mat.
Desrosiers can't do much from the bottom here. Lafeyette working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Desrosiers is trying to buck Lafeyette off. Lafeyette goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Desrosiers rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lafeyette's guard! Nice work there by Desrosiers! Desrosiers tries to stand but Lafeyette is controlling from the bottom.

Desrosiers works his way back into a safe position though. Desrosiers gets to his feet - Lafeyette follows without any prompting. Lafeyette stuffs the takedown. Desrosiers throws a series of punches but Lafeyette avoids them all with ease. Desrosiers tries to close the distance and clinch but Lafeyette swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Desrosiers tries to clinch up and Lafeyette counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Desrosiers! Desrosiers tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Lafeyette to counter with a crisp jab. Desrosiers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lafeyette shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Desrosiers's guard. Desrosiers keeping full guard, as Lafeyette tries to pass. Lafeyette stops Desrosiers from standing up. Lafeyette is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Desrosiers is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Desrosiers has escaped and now he's on top! Lafeyette escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Desrosiers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lafeyette throws his legs up looking for a submission but Desrosiers uses it to pass to side control.
Lafeyette stops Desrosiers from passing to mount. Lafeyette tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Desrosiers easily slips into full mount! Desrosiers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lafeyette is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Desrosiers controlling from mount. Desrosiers has hold of Lafeyette's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lafeyette manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lafeyette can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Desrosiers looking to control but Lafeyette is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lafeyette doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Lafeyette flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Desrosiers sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Vincent Desrosiers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lafeyette is desperately trying to improve his position but Desrosiers has a good base and remains in mount. Desrosiers tries to control but Lafeyette wriggling away. Lafeyette is working to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lafeyette slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Pierre Lafeyette showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lafeyette, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
