Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Roach (ranked 5945 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Drillon (ranked 25130 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Drillon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lyle Roach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Drillon! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Topper Green and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drillon avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Drillon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Drillon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Some bone on bone action there as Roach checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Roach tries to clinch up but Drillon circles away and keeps his distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Roach looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Drillon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Roach leaning against his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roach jumps guard but Drillon stands there with Roach around his waist. Roach gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Drillon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drillon lands a body shot.
Drillon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. A control attempt from Roach but he's now mounted! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drillon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Drillon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Drillon trying to control but he's not successful this time. Roach tries to hold on but Drillon postures up. Drillon content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roach tries to hold on but Drillon pushes him away. Roach is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Drillon sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Drillon avoids the attempt from Roach to control. Drillon content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roach wants to control but Drillon is having none of it. Roach throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Roach is looking to get to half guard. Drillon controlling from mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Drillon wants to control the pace but Roach is squirming around nicely. Roach is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Drillon wants to control the pace but Roach is squirming around nicely. Roach tries to lock up and control but Drillon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Roach is wriggling around trying to escape.
Roach sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Drillon not doing much here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Drillon tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Roach. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Drillon dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Roach takes a swing at Drillon's ribcage but misses. Roach keeps the fight on the outside. Drillon wants to land a leg kick but Roach is out of range. Roach is looking to counter punch. Drillon throws a low kick but Roach avoids it. Roach seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Drillon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Roach. A jab from Drillon does it's job there. Sloppy strikes from Drillon. Those never looked like landing. A little feinted left hand from Roach on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Roach rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Drillon moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Drillon misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drillon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Drillon tries a low kick but Roach avoids it. It looked like Roach was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Drillon. Roach tries to clinch there but Drillon circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Roach drives through and clinches with Drillon against the cage.
Drillon tries to circle away but Roach has him pinned against the cage. Roach looking to slow down the pace here. Stalling in the clinch from Roach.
Drillon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Roach keeps control of Drillon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Roach misses with a punch to the body.
We've been informed that Drillon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Roach jumps guard.
Roach is looking for a triangle here but Drillon uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Drillon lands an elbow. Drillon lands a nice forearm strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roach manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Drillon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roach. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Roach drops an elbow to the side of Drillon's head. Roach prevents Drillon from improving his position. Roach throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drillon is controlling Roach's position as best he can from this difficult position. Drillon tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Frank Drillon has got the better of the ground game so far. Roach landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Roach is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Roach controlling the pace. Roach prevents Drillon from improving his position. Drillon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Roach throwing shots but Drillon is blocking nicely. Drillon is looking to improve his position.
Roach is taking a breather. Drillon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Roach stops Drillon from getting back to his feet.
Roach thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Drillon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Roach pulls his head out easily. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Roach is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Roach missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lyle Roach will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Drillon ducks under a wild hook from Roach. As Roach backs off Drillon throws a huge counter combo but Roach manages to avoid it all. A head kick misses from Drillon. Frank Drillon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drillon lands with a right hand.
It looks like Lyle Roach has been cut. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Drillon. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Drillon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Drillon tries to break the clinch but Roach is controlling the position. Roach is trying to pull guard but Drillon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Roach comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Drillon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Roach has him pressed against the cage. Drillon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Drillon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Roach to the mat! Roach manages to get full guard. Roach is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Drillon has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Roach working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Drillon has passed into half guard!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Drillon tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Roach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roach is looking to improve his position.
Drillon wants to stand but Roach has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Roach trying to control but Drillon postures up.
Drillon wants to get back to his feet.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Drillon connects with a nice short shot to Roach's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Roach wants to control but Drillon is keeping busy.
Drillon is looking to take a break and control but Roach is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drillon is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Roach is trying to maintain the position but Drillon is very close to passing his half guard. Roach keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Drillon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A nice combination there by Drillon.

And that's the end of the fight! Frank Drillon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Drillon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
