Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ram Rocker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Powers!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocker moves out of range of the strikes.
Powers tries to clinch but Rocker moves away
and Rocker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rocker jabs at Powers's body.
Rocker scores with a takedown into Powers's guard.
Powers wants to sweep but no luck.
Rocker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rocker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Powers working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Rocker has passed into half guard!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rocker moves into full mount! Powers won't be happy about that!
Rocker avoids the attempt from Powers to control.

Rocker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Rocker is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Powers is in real trouble.
Rocker looking to break Powers's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Powers remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rocker will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rocker keeps control of the position easily here as Powers tries to buck him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rocker has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Rocker is cranking Powers's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Powers! He's tightened the choke and Powers is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ram Rocker!
A less than humble Ram Rocker misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
