The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres stuffs the takedown attempt from Zinsou. Zinsou gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Zinsou or perhaps it was just good defense by Torres, which made it look bad.
Zinsou tries for a takedown but Torres sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yayi Zinsou. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Torres cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Torres has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Torres gets caught flat footed, as Zinsou shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Zinsou shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zinsou showed some decent athleticism there.

Torres throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zinsou.
Torres slaps away a takedown attempt from Zinsou, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Torres lands with an uppercut that bounces Zinsou off the cage and back into range.

Zinsou closes this distance looking for a takedown but Torres circles away.
Zinsou shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Torres but Torres pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Zinsou walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Torres has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zinsou changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Torres tries to avoid it but Zinsou manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Torres to the ground. Torres escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Zinsou shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Torres sprawls well. Torres wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zinsou gets slowly back to his feet.
Torres let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Zinsou tries to score a power double leg takedown but Torres sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zinsou somewhat.
Zinsou seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Torres shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Zinsou is backing up but Torres catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Zinsou covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Torres Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
