Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudolf Kleinschmidt (ranked 321 p4p, 49 weight class) and Terry Tatum (ranked 1365 p4p, 190 weight class). Kleinschmidt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DMX- It's hot and hell is dark. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Tatum!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kleinschmidt has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Tatum throws a body shot but no joy.
A head kick by Tatum misses
and Kleinschmidt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Terry Tatum has been cut.
Tatum uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kleinschmidt.
Kleinschmidt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kleinschmidt misses with a lunging right hand
and Tatum counters with a left and a right that stings Kleinschmidt.
Kleinschmidt fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kleinschmidt wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kleinschmidt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kleinschmidt looks to score with a jab to the body but Tatum is just out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tatum throws a right hand that misses
and Kleinschmidt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tatum buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kleinschmidt has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Tatum.

Kleinschmidt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tatum takes a swing at Kleinschmidt's ribcage but misses.
Kleinschmidt swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Tatum throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Kleinschmidt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tatum throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kleinschmidt clinches with his opponent.
Tatum's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kleinschmidt blocks a jab.
Kleinschmidt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A lazy body kick from Tatum
and Kleinschmidt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tatum lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kleinschmidt circles away quickly and effectively.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kleinschmidt is looking to clinch.
Kleinschmidt misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Tatum counters with a straight right hand.
Kleinschmidt throws a shot from downtown. Tatum moves away and avoids it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tatum scores with a jab to the head.
Tatum goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Tatum fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Tatum looks to throw the jab but Kleinschmidt is out of range.
Tatum drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Kleinschmidt closes the distance but Tatum moves to the side
and Tatum makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Tatum avoids the body shot from Kleinschmidt.
Kleinschmidt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kleinschmidt throws a shot from downtown. Tatum moves away and avoids it.
Tatum lands with an overhand left.
A telegraphed right hand from Kleinschmidt misses the target.
Kleinschmidt connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Tatum misses with a wild combination.
Tatum looks to land a combination but Kleinschmidt avoids it well.
Kleinschmidt swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

That has opened up Terry Tatum's cut even more.
Kleinschmidt throws a hook to the side of Tatum's head but Tatum sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kleinschmidt fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tatum on the side of the head.
Kleinschmidt tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kleinschmidt catches Tatum with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tatum looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The cut above Terry Tatum's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Tatum scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
An inside leg kick lands from Tatum.
Kleinschmidt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kleinschmidt is looking to counter punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Tatum dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Terry Tatum's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Tatum connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kleinschmidt's hands.
Tatum throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kleinschmidt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kleinschmidt.
Tatum pushes Kleinschmidt back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Tatum tries to work over Kleinschmidt's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Tatum has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kleinschmidt manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kleinschmidt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tatum defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tatum stands and steps away. Kleinschmidt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Kleinschmidt gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kleinschmidt has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tatum uses from the top position.
Kleinschmidt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tatum gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tatum is stalling in the full guard.
Kleinschmidt has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Tatum doesn't defend quickly enough and Kleinschmidt has managed to lock this one up! Can Tatum escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kleinschmidt on a fantastic submission victory.

Rudolf Kleinschmidt tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
