Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Bobeth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris White! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by White - just one landing. We've been told by Bobeth's head coaches at Kalashnikov MMA Gym ($700/Week) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Chris White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bobeth throws a head kick but White moves out of range.
White looks to land a combination but Bobeth avoids it well. Bobeth walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. White stuns Bobeth with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. White throws a series of punches but Bobeth moves out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. White on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Bobeth fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. White looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. White throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bobeth. Michael Bobeth is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bobeth seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. White closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bobeth did well to prevent White getting side control. White dives in for a single leg takedown but Bobeth sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bobeth tries to land a front kick but White steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. White lands with a kick to the ribs.

That's better than White was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bobeth throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! White lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. White takes a head kick and keeps coming.
No joy there for White, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bobeth sprawls well. Bobeth wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. White gets slowly back to his feet. White misses with a double jab
and Bobeth counters with a series of strikes. White will be more careful next time no doubt. White fails with a takedown attempt. Michael Bobeth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris White.

and White counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. White misses with a wild body shot. Bobeth drives through and clinches with White against the cage.
White looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bobeth with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Horrible takedown attempt by White or perhaps it was just good defense by Bobeth, which made it look bad. No joy there for Bobeth, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Despite the aggression on White's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Bobeth tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. White manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bobeth is looking to clinch but White is avoiding it.
White shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bobeth eats them both and turns towards White to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Bobeth tries to close the distance and clinch up but White swats him away and circles back towards the center. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from White. White takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

And that's the end of the fight! Michael Bobeth showed his dominance in that final round. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
