Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vihaan Lal (ranked 21646 p4p, 771 weight class) and Jack Jamison (ranked 22438 p4p, 792 weight class). Vihaan Lal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vihaan Lal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Jamison!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lal shoots in looking for a takedown. Jamison tries to sprawl out of it but Lal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jamison manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lal.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jamison.
Lal lands with a straight right. Jamison didn't see that one coming.
Jamison misses with a takedown
and Lal counters with a right hand to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lal decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Lal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jamison's head.
Lal is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jamison wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lal is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Jamison is defending against the submission attempts here by Lal.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lal is trying to control the action in half guard but Jamison is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lal fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jamison avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vihaan Lal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jamison shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lal but Lal pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jamison lands a nice looking body shot.

Lal throws a sloppy head kick and Jamison moves out of range easily.
Lal is breathing heavily.

Jamison gets a clinch.
Lal is trying to break the clinch but Jamison is controlling him.
Jamison is trying to force a seperation but Lal has the dominant position.
Jamison is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The referee calls for Jamison to work.
Lal is trying to pull guard but Jamison has him pressed against the cage.

Jamison jumps into guard, dragging Lal to the mat.
Lal wants to control from the top but Jamison keeps moving.

Jamison has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lal off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Jamison moves into range and clinches up with Lal.
Jamison is trying to pull guard but Lal turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Jamison prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jamison avoiding damage as Lal throws knees to the body.
Lal misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lal is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jamison to keep the fight standing.
Lal wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lal tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jamison tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lal smiles and moves away.
Lal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jamison as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Lal's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lal throws a nice inside leg kick.
Lal is looking to clinch but Jamison is avoiding it.
Jamison closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jamison shoots for a double leg takedown but Lal sprawls well. He's pushed Jamison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jamison or perhaps it was just good defense by Lal, which made it look bad.
Vihaan Lal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Jamison.

Jamison moves into the clinch.

Lal tries to circle away but Jamison has him pinned against the cage.
Lal is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Jamison gets control of Lal's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jamison will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lal stands and throws Jamison's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Jamison prevents Lal from improving position.

Lal is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jamison is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lal throws a strike aimed at the side of Jamison's head but Jamison avoids it well.
Jamison wants to get back to his feet but Lal is dominant here and he's now got Jamison's back!

Lal is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jamison has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Lal is hanging on to Jamison's back as he tries to escape.

Jamison rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Lal is thwarting Jamison's attempts to control the position.
Jamison misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Jamison is defending against the submission attempts here by Lal.
Jamison desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Lal prevents Jamison from improving his position.
Lal not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Jack Jamison has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jamison gets back to full guard.
Jamison wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jamison is on top in guard.

Lal preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jamison tries to free his leg and advance position but Lal is retaining full guard.

A close second round but Jack Jamison will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Lal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jamison is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lal can't fight it off and eventually Jamison manages to take the fight to the floor. Lal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jamison pushes down on Lal's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lal is trying to get back to full guard.
Jamison is pressing down on Lal's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lal is holding on for now.

Jamison is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Jamison decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Vihaan Lal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jamison will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jamison working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jack Jamison is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Jack Jamison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jamison has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
