Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manolo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Paiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in but Paiva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Paiva connects with a solid leg kick.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Paiva as he avoids it easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Paiva.

Paiva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Paiva tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.

Silva doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Paiva but Paiva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Silva. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Well Paiva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
