Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yajson Mrar (ranked 2021 p4p, 106 weight class) and Pedro Franco (ranked 3163 p4p, 161 weight class). Mrar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sweet Dreams- Emily Browning. Pedro Franco is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yajson Mrar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pedro Franco! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mrar connects with a body shot. Mrar bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Franco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Franco avoids a punch combination nicely.
Franco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Franco tries to clinch but Mrar moves out of range. Yajson Mrar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown attempt by Franco or perhaps it was just good defense by Mrar, which made it look bad. Mrar takes a swing at Franco's ribcage but misses. Mrar swinging wildly here.
Franco tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mrar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mrar has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Franco tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mrar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mrar went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Franco moves in looking to clinch but Mrar pushes him off. Mrar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Franco is trying to maintain a safe position but Mrar gets an underhook and turns Franco into the cage. Franco told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Franco lands a nice elbow. Franco misses with a punch to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action! With the two fighters working up against the cage, Franco just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mrar's brow. Mrar is looking to break free of the clinch but Franco has double underhooks. Franco lands with a left to the head. Franco can't find room to land a body shot as Mrar controls the action.
Mrar is trying to force a seperation but Franco has the dominant position. Mrar prevents a body shot from Franco. A quick uppercut on the inside from Franco. Mrar breaks from the clinch.

Despite the aggression on Franco's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Mrar throws a wild combination but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
