Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnny Bodybag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keith Senior!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Senior doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Senior changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bodybag tries to avoid it but Senior manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bodybag to the ground. Bodybag escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bodybag thows a left - swing and a miss!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bodybag tries to break the clinch but Senior is controlling the position.
Bodybag has had enough of the clinch but Senior keeps him there for the moment.
Senior keeps control of Bodybag as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Senior is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Bodybag is looking to break free of the clinch but Senior has double underhooks.
Bodybag wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Senior has him pressed against the cage.
Bodybag blocks a body shot from Senior.
Senior goes for a takedown attempt but Bodybag pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bodybag forces Senior back against the cage and clinches.
Bodybag pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Senior swinging wilding here.
Bodybag scores with a jab. Senior acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Bodybag misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Senior closes the distance but Bodybag moves to the side
and Bodybag counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bodybag cracks Senior with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Senior fails with the takedown
and Bodybag counters with a stiff right hand.
Johnny Bodybag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keith Senior.
Bodybag scores with a punch to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Senior throws a right and a left that Bodybag avoids nicely.
Bodybag lands with a right and another and another! Senior is in big trouble! Bodybag lands again and this time it's lights out for Senior! A quality knockout there for Bodybag.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Johnny Bodybag!
