Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kerwin Espinosa (ranked 21865 p4p, 751 weight class) and Demon Monkey (ranked 2762 p4p, 346 weight class). Monkey has chosen Bransjehora as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kerwin Espinosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demon Monkey! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monkey connects with a crisp jab. Espinosa on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Monkey. Monkey obviously looking to wear him down.
Espinosa throws a sloppy body shot
and Monkey connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Monkey moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Espinosa walks forward, straight into a front kick from Monkey. Espinosa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Monkey is fending him off so far but Espinosa persists. Nope, Monkey circles away and we're back to standing. A jab from Monkey finds it's way through Espinosa's defenses. Jab from Monkey. Monkey scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Monkey throws a quick inside leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Monkey scores with a hook to the body. Espinosa takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. A nice inside leg kick there by Monkey. That's going to slow Espinosa down. Espinosa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Monkey scores with a spinning back kick!
That's one minute gone in the round. Monkey jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Monkey throws a leg kick which misses Espinosa's front leg but catches the back leg as Espinosa tries to avoid it. Monkey works the jab nicely. Monkey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Monkey lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Monkey scores with a nice strike. Espinosa sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Espinosa is breathing heavily. Monkey feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Espinosa's calf. Espinosa on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Monkey. Monkey obviously looking to wear him down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Monkey turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Monkey cracks the inside of Espinosa's front leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Monkey there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Monkey ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Monkey has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Espinosa is landing a low percentage of strikes. Espinosa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Monkey throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Espinosa chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Monkey can pounce on him.
Monkey throws a nice inside leg kick. Espinosa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Monkey. Crunch! Monkey slams his shin into Espinosa's torso. Demon Monkey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Espinosa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Espinosa is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Espinosa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Monkey to score with a decent uppercut. Monkey lands a leg kick that knocks Espinosa off balance momentarily. Monkey throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Espinosa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Demon Monkey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Espinosa's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Monkey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Espinosa scrambles back to his feet. Monkey thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Espinosa if he has to take too many more of those.
Monkey lands a jab to Espinosa's midsection. Espinosa takes one on the button. Monkey scoring well with a low kick there.
Espinosa on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Monkey looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Monkey thumps Espinosa with a low kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice uppercut lands for Monkey. That snapped Espinosa's head back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Monkey throws a leg kick which misses Espinosa's front leg but catches the back leg as Espinosa tries to avoid it. Oooooh!!! Monkey has knocked Espinosa down with a huge combo! Monkey steps away and waves a wobbly Espinosa back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Kerwin Espinosa has been cut. Monkey has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Monkey fakes the body blow, causing Espinosa to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Espinosa goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Demon Monkey! An out of breath Demon Monkey thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
