Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Ebbitt (ranked 5202 p4p, 548 weight class) and David Taylor (ranked 2485 p4p, 321 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ebbitt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX-Ain't No Sunshine. David Taylor is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Ebbitt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Taylor ! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ebbitt misses with a double jab
and Taylor counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ebbitt wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Taylor slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ebbitt wants to improve his position but Taylor is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ebbitt wants to get back to his feet. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ebbitt connects with a single shot there. Ebbitt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ebbitt lands a front kick. Ebbitt misses with a straight left. Ebbitt throws a sloppy head kick and Taylor moves out of range easily. Taylor changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Taylor lands a nice looking body shot.
Ebbitt is looking to land body kicks. Ebbitt seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Ebbitt looks to land a combination but Taylor avoids it well. Ebbitt throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Taylor counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Taylor controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ebbitt tries to kick Taylor off but Taylor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Taylor trying to pass the guard but Ebbitt defending well. Taylor seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Taylor prevents Ebbitt from standing back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ebbitt throws a right hand that Taylor ducks under and follows up with a left that Taylor also avoids with ease. Ebbitt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ebbitt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ebbitt takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Taylor connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ebbitt momentarily.
Ebbitt takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ebbitt throws a nice looking combination but Taylor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Taylor digs a good hook to Ebbitt's body.
Taylor uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ebbitt. Taylor connects with a crisp jab. Taylor digs a good body shot into Ebbitt's ribs. Ebbitt looks to throw a body kick and Taylor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Taylor connects with a couple of short punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Taylor 's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Taylor is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Taylor sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor advances position into side control! Taylor lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. My spies in The Shark Tank inform me that Taylor has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Ebbitt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taylor on the ground. Taylor scores with punches from side control. Ebbitt is trying to get back to half guard. Taylor landing a few strikes. Taylor working away. Taylor working the ground and pound from side control. Ebbitt is trying to control Taylor 's posture but Taylor avoids it. Taylor working the head with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Taylor dominated that round. That's time! Ebbitt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ebbitt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Taylor ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Taylor moves away from the strike by Ebbitt. Taylor uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Taylor scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Tommy Ebbitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taylor moves out of range as Ebbitt strikes. Ebbitt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And Taylor tries to counter it with a takedown but Ebbitt pushes his down on his head and steps out. Taylor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Taylor drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ebbitt defends it well. Ebbitt looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ebbitt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Taylor is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Ebbitt throws a right and a left that Taylor avoids nicely. Taylor cracks Ebbitt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Ebbitt looks to land a combination but Taylor avoids it well. Taylor feints the counter takedown. Taylor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ebbitt on the side of the head. Taylor avoids the body shot from Ebbitt.
Ebbitt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Taylor connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ebbitt scrambles back to his feet.
Ebbitt is rocked! Ebbitt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Taylor . Oh Ebbitt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Taylor shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Taylor lands with a shot to the body. Taylor lands with a good body shot. Taylor checks a low kick from Ebbitt. Ebbitt seems to have got his legs back now. Taylor lands a big uppercut and Ebbitt crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ebbitt looks OK. Taylor waves Ebbitt back to his feet! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ebbitt gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Taylor gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Taylor ! Tommy Ebbitt was interviewed post fight and said 'i'll be back, we all win, We all lose. Its how you respond that matters...I need to spend time with my kids, get wasted and get in the gym'.
