Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lee Sang Seok (ranked 96 p4p, 7 weight class) and Edward Kenway (ranked 97 p4p, 8 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Edward Kenway was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Sang Seok! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Kenway! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenway throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kenway ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Seok moves away. Seok appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Seok seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Kenway misses with a looping left. Seok jabbing away but nothing is landing. Nice sprawl there from Kenway as Seok shoots in. Kenway throws the kick towards the body but Seok avoids it. Seok throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kenway counters with a body kick that stops Seok in his tracks momentarily. Seok lands a nice shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kenway slips a straight right by Seok. Kenway swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kenway throws a leg kick that misses. Seok feinted with a counter takedown. Seok throws out a powerful jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seok tries to bum rush Kenway with a series of wild strikes but Kenway uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kenway throws the left hand but Seok avoids the punch easily. Nice defenses there by Kenway. Kenway uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Seok. Kenway looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Nice uppercut lands for Seok. That snapped Kenway's head back.
Kenway gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Seok. Kenway throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Seok fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kenway will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenway connects with a right hand. Seok shakes it off. Seok uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kenway.
Kenway jabbing away but nothing is landing. Seok cracks a nice hook into Kenway's ribs. Seok takes a kick to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Good work by Seok as he checks the leg kick. Seok tries to counter with a takedown but Kenway is quick to defend against it. A decent looking cross lands there for Kenway. Seok misses with an uppercut. Kenway saw that one coming. Kenway let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenway ducks under a wild hook from Seok. Kenway moves out of range as Seok strikes. Kenway feints a counter leg kick. Edward Kenway is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kenway throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Seok attempts a counter takedown but Kenway avoids it well and moves away. Kenway scores with the left hand. Seok knows he should have avoided that one. A leg kick checked by Seok. Seok tries to counter with a takedown but Kenway is quick to defend against it. Seok throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Seok closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Seok lands in his opponent's guard. Seok throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kenway works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Seok engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kenway keeping moving, preventing Seok from controlling successfully. Seok throws a big elbow that misses. Seok working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kenway is pulling down on Seok's head. It's preventing any offense from Seok, at least for the moment. Kenway is trying to keep Seok in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Edward Kenway will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kenway doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kenway keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Seok. Kenway throws a right hand that misses
and Seok counters with a single leg into guard. Kenway didn't expect that. Seok has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Seok trying to control but Kenway is working from the bottom. Kenway pulls Seok in close to his closed guard and prevents Seok from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Kenway working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Seok. Seok content to stall in guard here. Seok stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kenway swivels though and keeps the full guard. Seok trying to control but Kenway is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Seok scores with a punch to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kenway on the wrong end of a nice jab. Seok drives through with a takedown into guard. Kenway pulls Seok in to control the position. Seok controlling from the top position. Seok postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Seok throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kenway works some decent striking defense from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Seok accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Seok throwing strikes from guard but Kenway blocks nicely. Seok chips away with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenway wants to sweep but no luck. Seok working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Seok is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Seok missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kenway keeping moving, preventing Seok from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seok looking to pass the guard.

and Kenway counters with a nice body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Seok changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kenway tries to avoid it but Seok manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kenway to the ground. Kenway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kenway moves away from the strike by Seok. Kenway throws a sloppy head kick and Seok moves out of range easily. Seok shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kenway holds on and takes a little breather. Seok throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Seok throwing strikes from guard but Kenway blocks nicely. Seok throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Sang Seok dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A big left from Kenway misses. Kenway throws out a leg kick but Seok moves out of range and Kenway only half commits. Kenway throws a leg kick but Seok sees it coming and moves out of range. Kenway is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Seok tries to counter with a takedown but Kenway is quick to defend against it. Seok swings for the body but Kenway moves out of range.

Kenway obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Kenway. Seok does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seok shoots in looking for a takedown. Kenway tries to sprawl out of it but Seok keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kenway manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. It seemed like Kenway was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Seok moves out of range as Kenway strikes. Seok ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kenway walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Seok fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kenway looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kenway lands with a hook. Seok tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Seok lands the left hand. Seok lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Seok. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Seok working away. Seok postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Lee Sang Seok overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kenway struggling a bit here. Seok misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Seok tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Seok has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Seok laying and praying for a moment but Kenway takes advantage and regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenway wants to get back to full guard. Seok stalling away here and it's allowed Kenway to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Seok tries to free his leg and advance position but Kenway is retaining full guard. Kenway looking to control.
Seok wants to control from the top but Kenway keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kenway is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seok is trying to control the position but Kenway postures up. Seok looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kenway is looking to stand up but Seok won't let him. Kenway gets to his feet - Seok follows without any prompting. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Seok chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Seok avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lee Sang Seok. I think Seok has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
