Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Doyle (ranked 25011 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Pires (ranked 25074 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leroy Doyle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eduardo Pires! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doyle gets the takedown into side control. Doyle is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pires has escaped the position, nice work there. Doyle has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Pires blocks a leg kick. Pires throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Doyle tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pires is in Doyle's guard. Doyle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Doyle working a defensive guard but Pires manages to pass into side control anyway.
Pires working away. Doyle is looking for a sweep. Pires controlling the position from side mount. Pires is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Doyle has escaped the position, nice work there. Doyle really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle can't do much from the bottom here. Pires decides to stand back up. Pires steps back and let's Doyle get back to his feet. Pires throws a one two combo.
Pires shoots in and gets a takedown into Doyle's guard. Pires got a little sloppy there for a moment and Doyle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pires has managed to get both his arms back between Doyle's legs - danger averted. Doyle being controlled here, momentarily. Doyle looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Doyle is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pires drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Doyle dives on top into guard. Doyle stands up over Pires, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Pires manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Doyle manages to get himself to full guard.
Pires works a leg free and moves into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pires is trying to work for a kimura but Doyle is defending well.
Pires is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Doyle is just riding it out for now. Pires eventually gives up the hold. Pires thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Doyle's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pires with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Doyle is staying active underneath Pires, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pires is looking for a kimura but Doyle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pires to get the leverage. Pires wants to free his trapped foot but Doyle is holding on for dear life with his legs. Pires seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Pires takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pires seems to be looking for submissions.
Doyle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pires working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pires in particular looking to stall. Pires seems to be working for a kimura but Doyle defends the submission attempt. Pires is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Doyle sees it coming and defends easily. Pires is trying to control. Doyle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Pires is looking to stall here but Doyle recovers full guard. Pires sitting in guard, not really doing much. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eduardo Pires dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pires pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Doyle back to the cage. Pires follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Pires rushes Doyle and presses him up against the cage. Doyle pulls guard. Pires is looking to advance position but Doyle has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Doyle stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Pires rushes Doyle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doyle pulls guard effortlessly. Doyle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pires pushes down on Doyle's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pires is working for a kimura but Doyle is defending it quite comfortably.
Pires is pressing down on Doyle's thigh, looking to free his foot. Doyle is holding on for now. Pires thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Doyle's head. Pires is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Doyle trying to control but Pires postures up.
Pires uses his free foot to push down on Doyle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Doyle. Doyle in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Doyle wants to hold on but Pires pushes him away. Pires with a couple of short strikes. Doyle is squirming around, avoiding Pires's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Doyle has given up his back. Will we see Pires going for some submissions?
Pires really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Doyle. Pires is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Pires is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Doyle has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. I would not like to be Doyle right now.
Pires is landing big shots and Doyle is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!
