Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between KJ Slade (ranked 5647 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomokazu Ogawa (ranked 6263 p4p, 448 weight class). Tomokazu Ogawa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, KJ Slade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tomokazu Ogawa! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slade shoots and misses and Ogawa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Slade throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Ogawa to counter with a crisp jab. Slade misses with a takedown attempt and Ogawa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Slade throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ogawa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Slade throws a right hand that misses
enabling Ogawa to counter with a crisp jab. Slade misses with a left hand and Ogawa counters with a lovely shot to the body. Slade shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Slade is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Slade's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Ogawa looking for a sweep. Not yet Ogawa, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slade loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Slade trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Slade working some strikes from top position. Slade controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Slade in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Slade lands a couple of decent looking shots. Slade pushes down on Ogawa's leg and manages to get into half guard. Slade takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Slade working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slade seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Slade scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Ogawa wants to control but Slade is keeping busy.
Slade thows a huge punch but Ogawa dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Slade seems content to control. Slade seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ogawa for as long as he can get away with. Slade slips a nice elbow through Ogawa's hands, connecting with Ogawa's forehead. Slade winds up and cracks Ogawa with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Slade with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ogawa is pressing down on Slade's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Slade showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ogawa looks winded! Slade content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Slade connects with a couple of short punches. Slade is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Slade sitting in guard here, content to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Slade throws a big elbow that misses. Slade slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
KJ Slade dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Slade fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ogawa to the ground. Slade is now in Ogawa's guard. Slade postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Slade postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Ogawa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Slade stands and throws Ogawa's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ogawa is working to avoid the ground and pound but Slade connects with a decent elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slade working the ground and pound. Slade content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slade is chipping away with strikes.
Slade lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ogawa down.
The referee asks Slade politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Slade prefers to stall for the moment though. Further stalling from Slade. Ogawa is breathing heavily. Slade scores with punches from side control. Ogawa is letting Slade control him for a moment. Ogawa can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slade scores with a couple of short elbows. Slade is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ogawa can do to turn this around? Slade tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ogawa trying to remain calm as Slade controls from the top position. Slade working the head and body with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slade tries to advance to mount but Ogawa instead regains half guard. Slade is working for a submission of some sort.
Slade landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Slade is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Slade moves nicely into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slade in side control lands a decent elbow. Slade lands some shots froms side control. Slade landing a few strikes. Check out the look on Slade's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Ogawa is rocked! Slade in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Ogawa is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
