Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Savas Kaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Cekada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaya comes to the ring accompanied by Crimson and Clover. Boris Cekada has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Savas Kaya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Boris Cekada!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaya doesn't manage to clinch there - Cekada circles away.
Kaya is looking to clinch but Cekada is avoiding it.

Cekada bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Cekada is trying to get an arm triangle but Kaya is defending well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Cekada tries for a kimura but Kaya is defending well.
Kaya pushes Cekada away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cekada gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Cekada is trying to get an arm triangle but Kaya is defending well.
Kaya is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Cekada tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cekada has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kaya misses with a strike from the bottom.
Kaya is trying to buck Cekada off.

Cekada thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kaya tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cekada wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kaya is working hard here to advance position.
Cekada tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Cekada swings around for an armbar but Kaya sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Cekada's guard.
Kaya trying to control the position from guard on top but Cekada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kaya tries to stand but Cekada is controlling from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kaya is breathing heavily.

Cekada has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kaya can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cekada is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cekada has a closed guard, preventing Kaya from standing up.

Cekada has his foot on Kaya's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kaya works his way back into a safe position though.

Cekada throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Kaya is looking to stand up but Cekada won't let him.

Cekada is working an open guard so Kaya takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cekada shoots in but Kaya avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Savas Kaya is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cekada looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cekada circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kaya is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cekada tries a low kick but Kaya avoids it.

Cekada avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cekada swats away the attempt to clinch by Kaya.

Cekada looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cekada thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cekada thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kaya's head.
Kaya wants to control but Cekada is keeping busy.
Cekada passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kaya!
Cekada is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Kaya is in real trouble.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boris Cekada dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Cekada shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kaya as he avoids it easily.
Kaya keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Cekada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kaya tries to avoid it but Cekada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kaya to the ground. Kaya escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Cekada or perhaps it was just good defense by Kaya which made him look bad.
Savas Kaya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Cekada.
Kaya tries to clinch up but Cekada circles away and keeps his distance.
Cekada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kaya but Kaya pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kaya moves into the clinch.
A short right from Kaya.
Kaya lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Kaya throws an elbow but misses.
Cekada dodges an elbow strike from Kaya.
Cekada is breathing heavily.
Kaya misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Cekada.
Kaya prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kaya lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Kaya throws an elbow but misses.

Kaya gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Kaya creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Kaya lands a damaging elbow.
Cekada wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cekada managing to block the knees to the body from Kaya.
Cekada avoiding damage as Kaya throws knees to the body.

Cekada escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kaya wants to clinch up but Cekada keeps it at a distance.
Cekada throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cekada swats away the attempt to clinch by Kaya.
Cekada shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kaya as he avoids it easily.
Cekada lands with an uppercut that bounces Kaya off the ropes and back into rage.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cekada lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kaya has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kaya and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cekada tries for a takedown but Kaya sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kaya is looking to clinch.

Cekada closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cekada lands in his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kaya wants to stand and escape but Cekada is having none of it.

Cekada has gone for a leg lock! Kaya slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cekada's guard.
Cekada manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kaya squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Cekada with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Cekada fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Cekada is going olschool here, as he tries to force Kaya to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kaya shrugs it off.

Cekada goes for an armbar but Kaya turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kaya.
Kaya stands up over Cekada, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cekada has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kaya can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kaya wanted to stand there but Cekada had control of the position.
Kaya is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Cekada pushes a forearm under Kaya's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kaya is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Boris Cekada!
