Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Barack Obama (ranked 1250 p4p, 58 weight class) and Byron Tipton (ranked 940 p4p, 47 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barack Obama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Byron Tipton! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obama moves into the clinch. Obama lands a left hand.
Tipton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Obama has a couple of punches blocked by Tipton.
Obama tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Tipton's elbow. Tipton takes a shot to the head. Tipton prevents a body shot from Obama. Tipton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Obama feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tipton throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Obama tries to free his leg and advance position but Tipton is retaining full guard. Tipton is looking for a triangle here but Obama uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Tipton is not content to let Obama control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tipton tries to bench press Obama off him but Obama keeps the position. Obama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tipton, who protects the arm well. Tipton is looking to regain half guard here but Obama keeps moving and retains side control. Obama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Obama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Obama looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Obama trying to control the position but Tipton is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Obama is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tipton will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Obama thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Tipton tries to bench press Obama off him but Obama keeps the position. Obama looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Tipton is trying to improve his position. Obama working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Obama goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tipton has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Obama but great work by Tipton.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tipton tries for a kimura but Obama is defending well. Obama is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tipton's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Obama is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Tipton is tapping! Great win for Obama!
