Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Fagaro (ranked 348 p4p, 48 weight class) and Gracie Allen (ranked 818 p4p, 106 weight class). Gracie Allen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Don Fagaro's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Fagaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gracie Allen! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Fagaro misses its intended target. No luck with that takedown attempt from Fagaro. Allen misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Fagaro to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Gracie Allen has been cut. Allen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fagaro back to the cage. Allen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. No joy there for Allen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fagaro has a takedown stuffed. Fagaro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fagaro throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Allen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fagaro is in Allen's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fagaro trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fagaro stands and throws Allen's legs to the side, diving into side control. Allen felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Fagaro throws a strike aimed at the side of Allen's head but Allen avoids it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fagaro swings around for an armbar but Allen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Fagaro's guard. Allen's corner is telling him to maintain position. Allen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fagaro tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Allen manages to move to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fagaro is looking to improve his position but Allen isn't that keen on the idea. Allen controlling the position easily from mount. You get the feeling that Fagaro really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Allen controlling his opponent. Allen won't let Fagaro get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Fagaro is working to get back to half guard.

We've heard reports from his gym mates at Lovelair Muay Thai/MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Fagaro is trying to get back to his feet but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gracie Allen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gracie Allen's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Allen throws a big shot that misses. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fagaro. Fagaro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Allen circles away. A jab lands there for Allen. Allen stuffs the takedown attempt from Fagaro. Fagaro gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Fagaro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Allen on the wrong end of a nice jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A big right from Allen misses. Fagaro tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Allen swivels and escapes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nice uppercut there from Allen.
Fagaro is rocked! Allen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Oh Fagaro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Allen misses with a straight left. A combination from Fagaro does no damage. Fagaro seems to have got his legs back now. Nice takedown defense from Allen. No joy for Fagaro on that attempt. Allen stuffs the takedown. Allen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Allen wants to counter with a clinch but Fagaro pushes him away. Fagaro scores with a nice head shot. Allen misses the shot to the body. Allen sends Fagaro crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Allen is motioning to the referee to let Fagaro up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fagaro gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Allen gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Fagaro is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
