Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benny Andersson (ranked 297 p4p, 47 weight class) and Miro Bang (ranked 691 p4p, 107 weight class). Miro Bang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benny Andersson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Miro Bang! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bang. Andersson quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Bang shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bang closes the distance looking to clinch and Andersson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A big left from Andersson misses. Bang drives through and clinches with Andersson against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bang blocking some punches.
Bang jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Andersson walks away with a smile on his face. Bang gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Benny Andersson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miro Bang. Andersson thuds his shin into the meat of Bang's side. Bang throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Andersson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bang is in Andersson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andersson is looking to stand up but Bang isn't so interested in that idea. Bang postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Andersson holds on and takes a little breather. Andersson wants to get back to his feet but Bang is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bang looking to pass the guard. Andersson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bang is controlling him. Bang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bang won't allow Andersson to sweep him here. Bang pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Andersson is keeping the position for now. Bang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Andersson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Andersson has control of Bang's left arm, preventing Bang from doing any damage. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andersson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bang slips nicely into half guard. Bang is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Andersson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Andersson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bang manages to get himself to full guard.
Bang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Andersson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Andersson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Andersson won't allow Bang to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Andersson tries to free his leg and advance position but Bang is retaining full guard. Bang is looking for a triangle but Andersson pushes his legs off easily.
Bang working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Andersson has passed into half guard!
Andersson content to control rather than advance. Bang is looking for a sweep. Andersson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bang looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bang taking some punishment here, with Andersson in his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bang makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Andersson throws a jab but it's blocked by Bang. Andersson misses with a kick to the body and Bang counters with a nice double leg into side control. Andersson won't be happy with that. Bang creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Andersson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Andersson is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Hunter MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it. This has been an exciting period of action! Andersson tries to improve position but can't. Bang in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Andersson is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
