Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Head Coach (ranked 2376 p4p, 283 weight class) and Mustapha Shiit (ranked 1408 p4p, 175 weight class). Mustapha Shiit is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 19 - 3, fighting out of London, Head Coach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mustapha Shiit! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Shiit. Shiit throws a shot from downtown. Coach moves away and avoids it. Shiit throws the left hand but Coach avoids the punch easily. Coach takes the fight into the clinch. Shiit fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Coach prevents a takedown attempt there.
Shiit gets control of Coach's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shiit will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Coach throwing strikes but missing. Coach wants to pass the guard but Shiit is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coach postures up in Shiit's guard and throws a big left but Shiit blocks it. Coach is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Shiit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shiit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Shiit has his hands on Coach's head, controlling the position. Shiit is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Coach trying to control but Shiit is working from the bottom. Shiit managing to control the position. Shiit looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Coach is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Shiit looking for a sweep. Not yet Shiit, not yet. Coach has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Coach in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Coach wants to pass the guard but Shiit is keeping the position. Shiit not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. An inside leg kick lands from Coach. Shiit misses with a lunging right hand
and Coach counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Coach uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shiit. Shiit misses with a hook. Coach ducked under it nicely. Mustapha Shiit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shiit lands a nice shot that snaps Coach's head back.
Coach throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shiit swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. We've been told by Coach's head coaches at English Top Team - THE Hybrid Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Coach lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Coach walks into a left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiit moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Shiit darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Shiit trying to mount his opponent but Coach defends it. Coach makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Coach. Shiit passes into half guard. Shiit is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Coach has managed to free his arm - good work. Shiit trying to control from half guard but Coach is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shiit wants to pass the guard but Coach is defending well. Shiit is trying to control. Coach wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Coach manages to get to full guard.
Coach is trying to keep Shiit in close.
Shiit trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Coach keeping moving, preventing Shiit from controlling successfully. Shiit throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mustapha Shiit dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nice defenses there by Coach. Coach throws a hook to the side of Shiit's head but Shiit sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Shiit looks to throw the jab but Coach is out of range. Coach misses with a wild body shot. Coach moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Shiit keeps the fight on the outside. Coach tries to clinch but Shiit is having none of it. Shiit throws an off balance right hand
and Shiit takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Coach lands with a nice body punch. Coach lands with a cross. Shiit scores with a jab to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shiit misses with a straight left. Shiit connects with a right hand. Coach shakes it off. Coach checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Coach lands a nice looking body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shiit misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coach lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Shiit throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. It looked like Coach wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Head Coach is winning the standup battle so far. Coach drives through and clinches with Shiit against the cage.
Shiit is trying to pull guard but Coach has him pressed against the cage. Coach is pressed up against the cage. Shiit has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Coach down to the mat. Coach avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. A jab from Shiit misses. Shiit moves forwards but Coach connects with a nice, crisp jab. Shiit misses the jab. Shiit rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Coach counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shiit throws a leg kick and Coach counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Shiit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Coach avoids the head kick by Shiit.
An attempted straight right counter from Coach misses the target. Shiit avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Coach scores with a sloppy right hand. Shiit should have avoided that one. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shiit scores with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shiit is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Coach. Shiit finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Shiit just misses with a punch to the body.
Coach feints a jab promting Shiit to slip. Coach then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shiit slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Shiit is rocked! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shiit crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Coach - the referee stops the clock and Shiit gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Coach. Shiit manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Shiit is still on wobbly legs! Can Coach finish him? Shiit is breathing heavily. and Coach counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Shiit! He's just covering up as Coach starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Head Coach! Head Coach made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I needed this win, I want to claw my way back. Simon, give me a rematch mate!!'.
