Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eye Crap! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harold Stephenson! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stephenson moves in looking to clinch but Crap pushes him off. Crap throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stephenson. It seemed like Stephenson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Crap throws a nice looking combination but Stephenson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Crap swinging wildly here.
The fighters circling - Crap throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Crap lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stephenson circles away quickly and effectively. Crap rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stephenson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Crap fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stephenson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Crap throws a series of punches but Stephenson moves out of range. Stephenson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Stephenson closes the distance and clinches up with Crap, looking for a takedown. Stephenson pushes Crap against the cage but Crap circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Crap swats away the attempt to clinch by Stephenson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking cross lands there for Crap. Crap throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stephenson feints the counter takedown. Stephenson moves into the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stephenson prevents Crap from breaking the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crap blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Stephenson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Stephenson is looking for a takedown. Stephenson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crap pulls him back up using the underhooks. Eye Crap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Stephenson. Crap is trying to push Stephenson away but Stephenson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Stephenson lands a hook to the side of the head. Stephenson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crap pulls him back up using the underhooks. Stephenson keeps control of Crap as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Stephenson looking for a takedown. A head punch blocked on the inside by Crap. Stephenson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Crap pulls his leg out and moves away.
A combination from Crap does no damage. A punch combination from Crap misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crap throws a combination that misses and Stephenson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Stephenson is looking for a kimura here.
Crap on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Crap tries to get out of the position. Stephenson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Crap has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stephenson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Crap doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stephenson. Stephenson is trying to work for a kimura but Crap is defending well.
Crap knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stephenson on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stephenson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Stephenson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Crap sees it coming and defends easily. Stephenson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Stephenson trying to pass the guard but Crap defending well. Stephenson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Stephenson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Crap tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Stephenson!
