PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Steal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Roque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Steal might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Painkiller. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Steal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vitor Roque! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roque tries to close the distance and clinch but Steal swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Steal avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Roque shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steal's guard. Roque postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Steal is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Roque, into his guard. Roque keeping moving, preventing Steal from controlling successfully. Roque has a closed guard, preventing Steal from standing up. Roque looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Roque is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round. Roque looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Steal is defending well. Roque quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Steal has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Roque celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
