Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Joe (ranked 1426 p4p, 192 weight class) and Schmorgen Biscuit (ranked 1904 p4p, 38 weight class). Joe comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Big Iron. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Biscuit wants to land a leg kick but Joe is out of range. Joe was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Joe throws a body shot but no joy. Joe clobbers Biscuit with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Joe blocks a low kick nicely. Joe half committed to a counter leg kick. Joe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Biscuit.
Biscuit takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Joe with a nice cross. Joe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Biscuit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Biscuit is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Joe. Joe misses with a double jab.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Biscuit has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Joe misses with a wild body shot. Joe looks to score with a jab to the body but Biscuit is just out of range. Biscuit changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. A big right from Biscuit misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Biscuit gets the takedown into side control. Joe wants to get back to his feet but Biscuit is dominant here and he's now got Joe's back! Biscuit has Joe flattened out and is raining down punches. Joe is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Biscuit gets his way!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joe covering up well under a barage of strikes. Biscuit throwing wild punches that miss their target. Biscuit avoiding Joe 's attempts to control his hands. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Good control from Biscuit. Biscuit is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Biscuit gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Biscuit gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Biscuit apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Biscuit throws a looping overhand right but Joe ducks down to avoid it. It looked like Joe wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Schmorgen Biscuit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Biscuit digs a good hook to Joe's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Biscuit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Joe's waist but Joe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Biscuit off to one side. Joe appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. A head kick misses from Joe. Joe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Biscuit circles away quickly and effectively. Biscuit feints the counter takedown. Biscuit looks to land a combination but Joe avoids it well. Joe was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Biscuit jabs Joe to the body, keeping him at a distance. Biscuit tries to clinch but Joe moves out of range. Don Joe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Biscuit misses the shot to the body. Biscuit shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Biscuit scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Biscuit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Biscuit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Biscuit sitting in guard here, content to control. Biscuit lands a couple of elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Biscuit makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Biscuit works a leg free and moves into half guard. Joe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Biscuit seems to be looking for submissions.
Biscuit not landing any meaningful shots this time. Biscuit seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Joe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Joe is defending against the submission attempts here by Biscuit.
Biscuit is trying to work for a kimura but Joe is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Biscuit lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Biscuit is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Biscuit throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Biscuit is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Joe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Joe tries to get out of the position. Joe wants to improve his position but Biscuit is controlling well.
Biscuit slips a nice elbow through Joe's hands, connecting with Joe's forehead. Biscuit looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Joe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Biscuit takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Biscuit looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Biscuit seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Schmorgen Biscuit dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Biscuit closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Joe did well to prevent Biscuit getting side control. Joe trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Biscuit looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Biscuit looking to finish Joe with some ground and pound. This is bad for Joe! Biscuit has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Joe is trying desperately to improve position. Biscuit working Joe over with strikes here. Biscuit in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Schmorgen Biscuit has got the better of the ground game so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Joe wants to control but Biscuit is having none of it. Biscuit lands a nice shot to the head. Biscuit raining down hammerfists from mount. Biscuit controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Biscuit cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Biscuit lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Joe hang on? Biscuit punishing his opponent with strikes.
Joe is rocked! Biscuit can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Joe is looking to escape. Oh Joe is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Biscuit working the ground and pound effectively.
Biscuit lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Joe hang on? Joe seems to have got his legs back now. Joe wants to control but Biscuit is having none of it. Biscuit tries to control but Joe wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Joe that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Biscuit has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This has been an exciting period of action! Biscuit is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Joe is surviving well by controlling Biscuit's body position as best he can. Biscuit scoring with strikes but Joe is staying in there. Joe is desperately trying to improve his position but Biscuit has a good base and remains in mount. Biscuit lands a big elbow. Biscuit cracks Joe with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Joe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Biscuit on the ground. Joe wants to control but Biscuit is having none of it. Biscuit pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Biscuit is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Joe is surviving well by controlling Biscuit's body position as best he can. Biscuit scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Joe is looking to improve his position but Biscuit isn't that keen on the idea. Joe tries to hold on but Biscuit postures up.

Biscuit is in the full mount, landing strikes. Joe really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Joe tries to lock up and control but Biscuit gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Biscuit landing strikes from the mount. Biscuit with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

He lands one big shot that has Joe covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
