Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bostar Tyraanicao (ranked 259 p4p, 30 weight class) and Jerry Haze (ranked 200 p4p, 23 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Haze throws a half hearted mid kick.
Haze lands with a right hand.
Tyraanicao throws a push kick but Haze slaps the foot to one side.
Haze is looking to score with low kicks.

Haze has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tyraanicao turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Haze closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tyraanicao to the mat! Tyraanicao manages to get full guard.

Haze is nestled in close to Tyraanicao, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Haze lands a nice short elbow.
Tyraanicao is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Haze's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Haze's back!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I was talking to Tyraanicao's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
