The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ibragimov.
Ibragimov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ibragimov goes for a double leg but Rose avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rose continues to drive forward.
Merle Rose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Agaxan Ibragimov.
Ibragimov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rose half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ibragimov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rose defends well and Ibragimov ends up having to push Rose into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Rose is looking to stand up but Ibragimov isn't so interested in that idea.

Rose manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ibragimov on his heels. He'll look to pass Ibragimov's guard now, I'm sure.
Ibragimov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rose is aware though and is defending well.

Rose decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Rose seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Rose prevents the takedown attempt.

Rose is pulling down on Ibragimov's head. It's preventing any offense from Ibragimov, at least for the moment.
Ibragimov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ibragimov is looking to reverse the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Rose darts in and clinches Ibragimov up against the cage.
Rose's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Rose drags the fight down to the ground.
Rose is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ibragimov has his hands clasped together but Rose extends and breaks Ibragimov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rose.
