Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jden Cox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Nash! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nash getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Nash moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Nash slips a jab and a cross from Cox.
Nash circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nash throws out a counter right but Cox avoids it with no problem. Cox misses the shot to the body. Nash swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Cox swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nash appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nash stuns Cox with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Nash throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cox.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Nash. That snapped Cox's head back.
Nash comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Cox throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nash counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Nash lands a head shot. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Nash engages and cracks Cox with a massive lead left hook - Cox tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Nash is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
