Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Loel (ranked 1307 p4p, 174 weight class) and Danny Page (ranked 3153 p4p, 390 weight class). Loel comes into the arena with Bush - Glycerine blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yuri Loel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Page! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loel keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Page misses with a few strikes there.
Page misses with a hook. Page closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Loel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Loel's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Loel struggles to land a body shot inside as Page controls his hands.
Loel softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Loel lands an elbow inside that Page shrugs off. Page managing to block the knees to the body from Loel.
Loel breaks from the clinch.
Page misses with a looping left. Danny Page seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Page, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Loel misses the shot to the body. Good standup being displayed there by Page as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Yuri Loel has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Loel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Page moves into the clinch. Loel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Page's efforts to push away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Page tries to score a body lock takedown but Loel shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Loel dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. A short right from Loel. Loel keeps control of Page as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Page is trying to break free. Loel lands a knee to the head.
Loel lands a hook that snaps the head of Page backwards. Page breaks from the clinch.
Page rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Loel moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A quick step to the side and Loel tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Jab, jab by Loel - just one landing. Loel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Page stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Loel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Page moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Loel cracks Page with an open hand slap. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Loel keeps the fight on the outside. Loel listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Page tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Loel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Page tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Page closes the distance but Loel moves to the side letting Loel counter with a right hand. Page fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Loel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Loel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Page. Page obviously looking to wear him down.
Page darts in and clinches Loel up against the cage. Loel leaning his opponent against the cage. Loel lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Page takes a knee to the side of the body. Page breaks from the clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Page misses the target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Page rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Loel counters with a stiff right hand. Page moves in looking to clinch but Loel pushes him off. Page displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Loel throws out the jab. Loel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Page throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Loel. Loel lands with a nice combination. Page backs away looking to recover. Page throws a right and a left that both miss. Page moves into the clinch successfully.
Page is trying to stall.
Loel lands a damaging elbow. Page pulls guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Loel decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Page changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Loel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Page. Loel throwing a counter right hand but Page manages to avoid it. Nice cross by Loel.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Page misses with a hook. Loel ducked under it nicely. Loel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Page. Page looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Page throws a good cross that connects.
Page tries to clinch up. It looked like Loel wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Page lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Loel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Page circles away quickly and effectively. Loel moves forwards but Page connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Loel is rocked! Page drops Loel with a naaaaasty hook - Loel is in real trouble here! Page dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Page! An out of breath Danny Page thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
