Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gates with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
It looks like Teddy Gates has been cut.
Ground and pound from Diaz.
Gates is rocked!
Teddy Gates's cut is getting worse.
Diaz stops Gates from getting back to his feet.
Oh Gates is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gates quite badly. Gates pulls Diaz in close trying to recover. Diaz postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gates on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gates doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nicholas Diaz!
