Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Leister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Scouten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Scouten's choice of entrance music: Killing in the name of. Charlie Leister could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Greg Scouten's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Leister! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Scouten! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leister scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Scouten should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Leister wants to control but Scouten is keeping him busy. Scouten prevents Leister from moving into mount. Scouten throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
You can see the frustration on Scouten's face as Leister controls the position. Leister decides to stand back up. Horrible takedown by Leister or perhaps it was just good defense by Scouten which made him look bad. Leister misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Leister shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Leister. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scouten gets a clinch. Leister tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Scouten just stands there and leans against the cage. Scouten wants a takedown but no success here.
Leister decides to pull guard. Scouten trying to control but Leister is working from the bottom. Scouten stands up from guard. Let's bang! Scouten keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leister scores with a takedown into Scouten's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leister is breathing heavily. Leister preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scouten has Leister pulled in close to control his posture. Scouten looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Leister wants to control from the top but Scouten keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leister won't allow Scouten to get back to his feet. Scouten keeping moving, preventing Leister from controlling successfully. Scouten is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Leister has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Leister shoots in and bounces Scouten off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Scouten keeping moving, preventing Leister from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Leister tries to free his leg and advance position but Scouten is retaining full guard. Leister is looking to stand up but Scouten won't let him. Scouten looking to control.
Scouten looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leister is one step ahead there. Leister trying to control but Scouten is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Leister dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Leister clinches but Scouten breaks the clinch and Scouten counters with a takedown into side control. A lull in the action here. Scouten trying to control the action but Leister is working from the bottom. Leister can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scouten is looking to take a break and control but Leister is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Leister's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Leister tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Leister is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Scouten has just dragged him back down to the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Scouten gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Leister counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Scouten! Leister connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Leister is trying to control here but Scouten has managed to regain half guard.
Charlie Leister overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Leister tries to stand and escape but Scouten is controlling the position. Scouten tries to get to full guard but Leister has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leister stops Scouten from getting back to his feet.
Scouten is staying active underneath Leister, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Leister working Scouten over with strikes. Scouten is trying to maintain the position but Leister is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leister slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Leister throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Scouten counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Leister! Leister is trying to escape the mount.
Scouten wants to control the pace but Leister is squirming around nicely. Scouten gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Greg Scouten will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Leister's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Leister throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scouten's waist but Scouten gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leister off to one side. Scouten uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Leister.
Scouten shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leister pinned against the cage. Leister gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Leister tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Scouten keeps the fight on the outside. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leister shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Scouten counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Leister makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Leister.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scouten trying to control but Leister is working from the bottom. Scouten drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Leister manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Scouten has Leister in his guard. Leister trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Leister controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Scouten keeping moving, preventing Leister from controlling successfully. Scouten has his foot on Leister's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leister works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leister decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Leister shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Scouten's guard. Leister sitting in guard here, content to control. Scouten working a defensive guard here.
Scouten is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leister has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Scouten is proving hard to escape from. Leister trying to control but Scouten is working from the bottom. Scouten had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Leister is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Scouten Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Leister's back instead. Scouten doesn't have the hooks in and Leister manages to turn into his guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Charlie Leister. I think Leister has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
