Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emanuel Rodrigez (ranked 4503 p4p, 493 weight class) and Yi Ruogang (ranked 2455 p4p, 315 weight class). Emanuel Rodrigez has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emanuel Rodrigez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yi Ruogang! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodrigez shoots in looking for a takedown but Ruogang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rodrigez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ruogang slips under a jab from Rodrigez. Emanuel Rodrigez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rodrigez closes the distance looking to clinch and Ruogang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ruogang has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Unlabeled MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Ruogang controlling from the top position. Let's hope that Ruogang has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodrigez trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ruogang trying to control but Rodrigez is working from the bottom. Ruogang is looking to pass into half guard but Rodrigez pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rodrigez is in guard.
Ruogang is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Rodrigez presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Ruogang is pushing Rodrigez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. The referee is keeping an eye on Ruogang - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ruogang takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Yi Ruogang. Rodrigez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ruogang counters by moving into the clinch. Ruogang stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Ruogang has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rodrigez clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! This has been an exciting period of action! Rodrigez covering up well and avoiding damage. Rodrigez is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at School of Hard Knocks, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Rodrigez avoids the strikes from Ruogang. Rodrigez staying busy and making it hard for Ruogang to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruogang wants to control but Rodrigez manages to buck him off and is now in Ruogang's guard! Nice work there by Rodrigez! Ruogang utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ruogang is looking to stand up but Rodrigez isn't so interested in that idea. Ruogang is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Rodrigez wants to control from the top but Ruogang keeps moving. Ruogang pushes Rodrigez off and gets back to his feet.
Rodrigez goes for a double leg but Ruogang avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ruogang continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emanuel Rodrigez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodrigez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ruogang counters with a shoot takedown. Rodrigez fights it but they end up in guard. Ruogang controlling from the top position. Ruogang throws a big elbow that misses. Ruogang postures up in Rodrigez's guard and throws a big left but Rodrigez blocks it. Rodrigez has momentary wrist control but Ruogang slips an elbow through the middle. Ruogang pushes down on Rodrigez's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ruogang looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Ruogang is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yi Ruogang dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rodrigez darts in and clinches Ruogang up against the cage. Rodrigez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ruogang to keep the fight standing. Ruogang taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Rodrigez is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ruogang is defending well. Rodrigez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ruogang is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emanuel Rodrigez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ruogang displaying some good clinch control by pressing Rodrigez up against the cage. Ruogang effectively controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruogang manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Yi Ruogang. Rodrigez gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ruogang tightens his grip and picks Rodrigez up, before dumping him to the ground. Rodrigez manages to land in guard. Ruogang stops Rodrigez from standing up. Ruogang is in close to Rodrigez's body, working some short punches and elbows. Ruogang stopping the sweep attempt from Rodrigez. Ruogang sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ruogang working some strikes from top position. Rodrigez keeping moving, preventing Ruogang from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ruogang. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Ruogang lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Ruogang slips nicely into half guard. Ruogang scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Ruogang is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Ruogang in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rodrigez takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Ruogang with the ground and pound from mount.
Rodrigez is rocked! Ruogang is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Rodrigez goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Ruogang!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Yi Ruogang! Yi Ruogang thanked the fans post fight for their support. In defeat, Emanuel Rodrigez stepped up to the mic, saying 'PUTA!!!'.
